I couldn't comment for a year and a half or so because I refused to get a Google + account. A few months ago, I went ahead and made a dummy one and connected it with my Google account (which I opened a few months previous, for a work project that required). Now I find I can't comment and they're forcing participation in an account (G+) I don't even use. I just deleted that account and took my alias off. I'll just bookmark my new subs and add them to the ones I already had, in case I need to delete my YT account again, as well.
I've been on the net since the mid 90s, I know the benefits of anonymity and the possible repercussions if you don't have it.

These newer, more intrusive companies want to make it as easy as possible to track you.
