come get me/come and get me was 1999 and Nostradamus dropped before vol 3. shots were fired in the 90s.

those were subliminals tho...i'm talking direct...

not to mention, Nas dropped that Stillmatic freestyle a few weeks after that which is why Jay dropped the full Takeover...

fukk the Meek diss record...dude had the attention last night and put the shyt in auto pilot. He could have played some good music and actually spun some records.

Take Mr Cee when that nikka was under pressure for that tranny shyt...that very first mix was crazy, that nikka literally played for his DJ career.

Flex coulda got on the mic and fully stated what the wait is about. While playing a NY set of some classic shyt and I woulda been cool. He has no control over if he gets a record or not...matter a fact next time get the fukking record first before u start promoting the show. This nikka played 10 songs in the 3 hours I listened.

Ebro on Meek Mill’s Failure to Respond to Drake

Last night Meek Mill pulled a fast one on the entire Rap Internet when he failed to deliver a response to Drake’s “Charged Up” after Funkmaster Flex stated outright that he’d be playing a new Meek record during his 7:00 pm show on Hot 97. The reaction from angry fans hungry for some good old fashioned Rap beef was swift and relentless. Meek took a loss. Flex took a loss. Stop fukking tweeting and talking shyt on stage Meek and drop a song.

On his show this morning, Ebro revealed that it was Meek and his camp that didn’t come through. Flex was promised a song and pumped up the reponse record accordingly, beleiving he’d have something to play last night. The song never came. Ebro speculates that maybe Meek was just trying to poke Drake and see how he would react, but that can’t be it, can it? This isn’t Meek’s first day at Rap camp. He has to understand how this would look to the public.

Particularly in the age of social media, you don’t get to just pull shyt like this and think it’s gonna fly. Memes will be generated. Thinkpieces will be written. You will be called out as scared, unprepared or both. Or maybe your girl, a good friend of your new nemesis, stepped in and shut shyt down? The fact is, we won’t know until Meek either speaks on it or makes the reasons irrelevant by dropping a record. Drop that record Meek.

Flex owes Ebro big for this
