I'm saying be professional and not publicly call out targeted free agents and people on the current roster at a time like this.

I'd respect it if a member of the organization kept it real like, "Criticized D.Howard and stated the organization will not be pursuing the free agent at this point."

That I can understand... however, you have to play chess not checkers, calling out players during the time your organization is extending an offer...

Those are mixed signs from an organization, and would a player watching your organization allow staff to publicly criticize a player while also offering him a contract, want to sign with you?
