Both sides get emotional and outraged on their key issues. Look at how Conservatives rage of Kaep kneeling over the anthem, Starbucks cups or "Happy Holidays". The problem with Milo is that he wants it both ways. He wants his points to be taken as credible and knowledgeable, despite the fact his full experience and education on most of these topics is the equivalent of a few google searches. Then when pressed, he puts on an act in which he starts trolling or "joking" while dishing personal attacks.
Thing is in real life it doesn't work like that. Milo has shown he isn't above lying and commonly omits or distorts full information. He's a guy I don't take seriously because you can never tell when he is serious or not and people with credibility don't have the time to figure out which is which. You can't be a credible person AND a troll in the same light, Milo seems to want to be both.
He's also an attention whore so the best way deal with someone like him is to ignore him. Completely dismiss him. He'll act out even more like a child does, but when his 15 minutes are up, we will see him resort to complete shock value and then the masses will realize what credible people are already realizing.

Regarding the fact and context that said foreign person was attempting to council and overrule the opinion of a national security expert in regards to international policies, yes it made sense.
Milo was out of pocket there. Other people don't tell you how to spend your money and who to do business with, you shouldn't do the same for them. Especially when you have opposing goals, as Milo and Nance do.
I said from the beginning that they should ignore Milo and let him speak to the converted instead of making him bigger and into a martyr by some by making him such s big deal and banning him or trying to silence him
Doing that just makes him even more inclined to say outlandish shyt because he knows the left will continue to try to stop him which will make him even bigger
Well part of me does feel like you gotta at least open the door to anyone, because you can't really separate the real from the fake until you hear them out...
That said, when he went on his rant, I think they could have easily dismissed him by asking "what experience do you have in this area?". Then he'd be forced to expose his lack of knowledge or lie about it, which they could easily call. But Milo did personally insult them, so maybe they didn't even want to give him the time of day. Why engage with a guy that refuses to engage you?
