I’ve been told people this for the longest time. Kanye has ALWAYS been this way..the only reason why they let it slide was because the mass majority loved his music.

When the music started becoming “bad” in folks eyes THEN folks started saying that Ye “changed.”

There was never a “old” Kanye. It’s just been Kanye.

This might be the case somewhat ... I think we all excused a lot of stuff because we all figured that it came from a good place (it still, in some hard to explain way, might), stuffed between the rants of the past he was still calling out Bush and the republicans for racism etc. That led at least myself to still champion Ye (besides the music obviously being incredible).

Around the time that all this shock value Trump stuff started to happen the musical output felt more and more erratic and all over the place. Everything just unraveled...in a strange way... I dont know man...
