School me.
I'll let ChatGPT school you:

A fully automated fast food restaurant could potentially lead to job losses for individuals who currently work in those positions. This could have a negative impact on the economy as it would decrease the number of people with disposable income to spend on goods and services, and could also lead to an increase in unemployment and reliance on government assistance. Additionally, automation could lead to increased income inequality as automation often leads to cost savings for businesses but not necessarily for workers.

If there's less money being spent due to a significant amount of jobs being removed from the market just to save pennies, where do you think the effect of that would be on society as a whole?

These jobs exist for a reason, and it doesn't have shyt to do with convenience, human error, or waste.

Taking the counter out is ideal at this point to me. It’s crazy how long it can take just to get the order in. You drive by and see one car at the window, and everybody else lined up deep at the speaker :mjlol: Popeyes is the worst at that

Could =/= will
The “new automation” of the next few decades—with much more advanced robotics and artificial intelligence (AI)—will widen the range of tasks and jobs that machines can perform, and have the potential to cause much more worker displacement and inequality than older generations of automation. This can potentially affect college graduates and professionals much more than in the past. Indeed, the new automation will eliminate millions of jobs for vehicle drivers and retail workers, as well as those for health care workers, lawyers, accountants, finance specialists, and many other professionals.

This was bound to happen eventually. Even now with the McDonalds app you can place an order, walk in, and they call your number when ready. Between that and the kiosks, you don't have to interact with a cashier at all to get your food

Yall better wake up to whats going on out here.. especially you Coli people who work customer service. Yall gonna be the first wave of people with no jobs in the future.

Im telling my son now, he better start learning how to FIX machines or software.
This right here. Community colleges across the US are offering courses in robotics and automated technologies. It's a fast growing industry, I encourage anyone who's still unsure of a career to pursue a major in that field

It needs to get scrapped. I'm pretty sure that when places like McDonalds gets planning permission to run their businesses in certain areas, they present their case with jobs they'll create.

If they're no longer creating jobs, they need to make way for a business that will.
Biggest lie was that companies are made to create jobs. Paying a salary to a worker is overhead, so the less they have to pay the better. If they can get one person to do the jobs of three, they'll run with it.

And they still charging those prices, when there are no human employees? If so, that's pretty much robbery to make corporations even richer. If you 100% automated, you should lower prices, at least.
I highly doubt it. They'd probably keep the prices the same, or even raise them just cause they can. If they even bother to give a reason for the price hike, it would be focused on a "temporary bump" to fund the refitting of all stores, with the price subsequently never going back down.

Maybe you should ask yourself why am I eating food made by a robot. Maybe I should spend my money elsewhere.
