It's good practice to send a cease and desist and any competent lawyer will do it.
The point isn't that people will immediately stop what they are doing, more that you have record of asking someone to stop - this is useful in subsequent civil AND criminal cases as supporting context.
Actually, in some cases it's really NOT a good practice to send a cease & desist letter.
- Escalation of Conflict: Sending a cease and desist letter can escalate a conflict between the parties involved. It could provoke a negative response or retaliation from the recipient, leading to further disputes.
- Legal Costs: If the recipient of the letter decides to challenge it legally, it can result in additional legal costs for both parties. This can include hiring lawyers, court fees, and other related expenses.
- Negative Public Perception: Depending on the circumstances and the recipient's response, sending a cease and desist letter may result in negative publicity or damage to your reputation. It could be seen as aggressive or heavy-handed, which may not be favorable in certain situations.
- No Guarantee of Compliance: While a cease and desist letter is intended to stop certain behavior or actions, there is no guarantee that the recipient will comply. They may choose to ignore the letter or continue with the disputed activity, requiring further legal action.
- Potential Counterclaims: In some cases, sending a cease and desist letter could prompt the recipient to file a counterclaims against you.
Envy is a clown for his antics, but Flex is exactly the same. Flex has decades of impotent rants on the radio, and the only person he's ever documented to have put hands on is a woman.
They both suckas, let's have it right.
The only difference here is that despite Funk Flex past transgressions & big mouth, he's not the one in the current news/headlines with lawsuits & potential prosecution for Real Estate fraud.
Here's another major news article from VIBE on DJ Envy/FF/RR beef.

Rick Ross and
Funk Flex have thrown jabs at
DJ Envy in light of accusations surrounding his involvement in an alleged real estate ponzi scheme.
On Thursday night (Sept. 28), Ross appeared on Flex’s Hot 97 radio show ahead of the release of he and Meek Mill’s new single “Shaq & Kobe.” During his time on the station, the MMG boss took the opportunity to ridicule
the Breakfast Club host and mixtape legend about being tied to the alleged fraud scheme involving his real estate venture.
“Nah, we ain’t selling fake houses!” Ross said, alluding to the rumors swirling around Envy, with whom he engaged in
a war of words in recent months. “We not gon’ steal no old lady houses. You going to hell for that.” He continued to mock the Queens, N.Y. native, referencing Envy distancing himself from his former associates amid claims he was not complicit, but a “victim” himself.
