Well I think its cool to get ideas or a few bars or even the story that that these rappers be talking about. But Big sean already said he stole his flow, and now this, that's two red flag, deal breakers for a rapper..

to me, it's not so much about him not writing as the way he brags about other rappers needing him to breathe life into their careers when his career is being breathed life into by no name rappers that never see the light of day. he's out here acting like he has some type of golden pen game and he really believes his own hype when it's been being manufactured behind the scenes all this time. i always assumed he had a team helping him, but why the fukk do you need a reference track? that's for singers exclusively. most songwriters pen the song and then sing it so the singer knows what to do. drake needing a reference track for a whole verse lets me know he doesn't know what he's doing. if a rapper has someone writing for him, at least put your own stamp and your own flow to the shyt. this nikka just took the flow, the cadence and everything. it's like rap paint by numbers. what's even worse is he's getting the notoriety of a great and is not even working and producing the creativity the level of a great should. how the fukk you only 7 years deep in the game and getting put on billboards with biggie, rakim and nas like you actually have the skills to be mentioned with them, let alone pictured with them artistically all over the globe? it's blasphemous. i enjoy drake's music but this is really trifling. anyone that's saying it doesn't matter or it's not that big of a deal doesn't respect the culture and they don't even understand that hip hop is a culture. they don't respect what it means to be an mc or an artist in hip hop. they just want something they can listen to and turn up to without having any regard for the platform that enables them to do so. i'm in this thread taking mental notes and looking at all you idiots that say this is irrelevant, because it is.
