Antoine Fuqua has revealed that the Tupac Shakur biopic is still up in the air - because he hasn't found the right script.

The Equalizer filmmaker had been tipped to make a film about the life of the late rapper in 2011, which has been put on hold.
"Maybe, I don't know. I just couldn't get a script I was happy with the company that was doing it, and I knew Tupac and I know his mum Afeni Shakur-Davis more than anything, and I didn't want to not get it right," he said.

The film, produced by Morgan Creek Productions, would chronicle the life and legacy of Tupac, including his rise as a hip-hop artist and actor and his imprisonment and controversial time at Death Row Records, where he was caught up in the rap war between the East and West coasts.

Antoine added: "But I know the owner of the company and he calls me all the time. We're friends, but I don't know."

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old director has reunited with his Training Day star, Denzel Washington, for The Equalizer after more than 13 years.

"It felt like a long time coming. It's funny - neither one of us thought about it much because we're friends and we hang about periodically," he explained.
"It takes two years to make a movie. After Training Day, a lot of things happened... so time just flew by. But this was the right one.

"He actually called me on this one. He said, 'The Equalizer is something I want to do. If you read it, you'll be perfect for it.' I read it, (but) I was almost saying yes just from talking to him because we wanted to work together (again). He was hoping I would respond to the material and I did."

Gang violence...
i cant stand biopics. either they are approved by the family which means they must be boring, or they are made on a shoestring budget and look like something from basic cable.
