Is it really that amazing with streaming now? I would expect most popular artists to go gold these days

OK now do you want us to proud of ASAP Rocky or Nah? You're confusing us heavily now.

:what:

ducktales and tears. typical Future stan

Look breh, it's not my fault Future's whole MO is pop music and that he's a TMZ rapper who latched onto Ciara to get famous, and now needs Pippen's wife to move extra units. I get it - that's his fanbase.

What I don't understand is how do you do such low numbers after having the GOAT stimulus in 6 Buddha? Dude put Fewtch under his wing and said, "I'll take care of you. Ride my wave."
And he's still pulling these weak ass numbers? :deadmanny:

@JordanWearinThe45 This is how you get money in the new streaming game, Future is very smart. If you peep homies work ethic instead of promoting an album with singles etc, let it rock and keep pushing your brand consistently then tour off the new songs and the buzz. I don't think there's ever been an artist ever that's ever gotten this high up off pure work ethic and quality. This guy has no hit singles basically without Drake. He just decides to drop tapes follows with an album and tours. He even revived his own career off grind. This is the blueprint.

nikkaz been doin this.
droppin mixtapes, then going on tour. rinse and repeat.
what are you talking about.

How'd it eclipse Sean when Sean did 151k?

So Future hasn't had Used To This burning up the radio for the last 2 months. It peaked at 14 and is currently at #57. Future hasn't been MIA at all.
Lil Sean sold 65K, which is on par or fewer than what Future is about to do with no singles or promo.

I don't know why Lil Sean's fans are celebrating when I Decided sold considerably less than his last effort. He's back to doing Hall Of Fame numbers.

Edit: I think I see what you're saying now. Read it out of context

For an album to go gold, 1 song has to be streamed 750 000 000 times. Or if you have 10 songs, and people listen to all songs equally, 75 million times etc. And the pay out should be equal to what it would've been if they sold cd's, there of the mathematics.

It's not that easy. Obviously easier than just before RIAA changed their shyt but not much easier than say mid 2000s if we observe the amount of certified albums. So unless you have a really big single it's still hard.

Dark Sky Paradise did 176k album equivalents, I Decided did 151k...That isn't a major falloff, it's pretty much on par

Future DS2 did 151k, Evol did 134k and Future is projected to do 115-140k.........

They're the same level of Tier 2 artist with Drake, Cole, and Kendrick being Tier 1
