i dont get why future and wiz think that because they study how hendrix dressed and acted that somehow they feel they are in any way shape or form emulating who he was or what he did. Hendrix innovated and forever changed the solo guitarist and brought an aura and sense of workmanship never seen before in his genre. dressing like him and emulating the simple asthetics means nothing. Future is talented but im sick of being forced to pretend like its ok to name yourself after all time legendary musicians who could sing and play without the assitance of a computer like you are doing the same.

This is me rambling or even "hating" if you will but no matter how much i respect future and his ability to write, hes not luther vandross and he definately isnt jimmy.

Sound like what Future says he wants to do with his own craft to me...I don't even know shyt about rock music to tell if its correct or hate...but I've seen him described as "not technical" with his guitar...Well Future ain't technical with rap music....Jimi Hendrix did what he felt and he turned out to be innovative,he could've easily not been taken seriously but instead people luved it he became a pioneer who inspired others who would become legends....Well plenty folks don't take Future seriously RIGHT NOW,but his book ain't closed yet....just cuz masses don't take him seriously right away don't disqualify him,all it takes is one solo as powerful as Jimis Star Spangled Banner and he might have all the doubters too....and u never know who will be inspired by his future innovations and proccess to take it next level his book ain't over yet....and besides all that I think u takin it too literallly...if Flocka can be Flockavelli,Max B can be Biggavelli which he wuz really pushin it even for me too namin himself after 3 legends but I understood it....Future closer to Hendrix in his INTENTIONS than the previous two I mentioned,its similarities there.

Personally I don't wanna see him go too far outside the box tryna be too innovative....a lot of rappers think they are doin that by gettin weird europeans to sing on they songs,techno inspiration,a rock album.....so trust me I hate hearin rappers talk about innovation cuz usually it ends bad plus I like my hiphop in a box for the most part...he could easily lose people including me eventually trying to be innovative but ima enjoy my time I'm on Pluto while I'm here

I don't think I did that at all,and moreso said "you never know" if u didn't check out after the first sentence and finished reading.....his INTENTIONS are inspired by what Jimi did musically....rather u like how it turns out is really irrelevant to whether him usin Hendrix on his album is accurate or not....when they asked why he calling his album future hendrix his reasoning added up...if they asked him why and he said "Well Jimi Hendrix wuz the greatest guitarist of all time and I'm the best rapper of all time" that would be innacurate,without knowin his reasoning you just hating blindly,but continue on
