Fuuuck Jamaican restaurants!! I can’t do it no more!

Just discovered Golden Krust in houston. Had a mexican woman managing it so the service is actually great.

Food was simply DIVINE!

Highly recommended.

just know your body cannot/will not utilize at least half the protein in beyond meats. again it's not "real" food. you'll find yourself looking softer than usual eating that stuff. best bet is to eat a balanced moderate diet.

Everytime without fail after being pissed at slow service, i forgive them immediately after the delicious food hits my mouth. Happened to me twice in LA. Once at a jamaican food truck and secondly at one of my fav jamaican spots in LA Little Kinsgtons.

Again, terrible customer service but excellent food.

Basically their rudeness is the salt on the caramel

3pm called a Jamaican spot about 20min from my house. Wanted to make sure they had patties b4 I made the drive. Nobody picks up, called 3 Times.

My wife had errands to run in the area so we took a chance to stop by.

Walk in the spot and there is 1 customer and 2 workers. I walk up to the counter and ask if they have any chicken patties and of course she’s like no only beef. So then I’m like I called b4 I came and nobody was picking it up is the phone working? She’s says yes it’s working but she was so busy she couldn’t get to the phone, I literally said out loud BUSY there’s nobody here!!!

She then just says no more patties and I’m fukking flummoxed!

No offers to make more. No I’m sorry sir I couldn’t get to the phone. Nothing!

Basically she was like fukk you fukk your money you want what’s left or not??

So I grabbed my wife and left.

Why do Jamaicans run such shytty ass businesses??? I only know of one Jamaican spot that has great customer service.

For the first time ever i hit a Jamaican spot for food(blessings down in ingelwood ca)


I asked homie if the food was gon be all day , he said he got me.





He had the lady behind the glass throw them oxtails on white rice with the gravy faster than my head could spin with some cabbage n tbe whole shyt



My god, what have i been missing for all of these years .



I hit another joint up around pico (wi jammin) they only took cash so i had to hit the store
They got me some oxtails N threw some plantains on the plate


I never had those in my life and that shyt was amazing

Thank God I live in the Bronx. The home outside home of all zesty, saucy Caribbean cuisine. Jamaican food, Trini food, Guyanese food, Puerto Rican spots, Dominican spots. Sometimes all in one block


A breh be feasting on juicy snapper, stew chicken, rice and peas (gravy all up on that), roti, plantanos, yuca fries, and of course that brick of well done, triple layered baked mac and cheese.

I stay full.

The only thing I order from the West Indian restaurant is soup. All the other food across multiple joints is so hit or miss because they don’t care. I knew when a certain chef was on duty if he ain’t there I ain’t coming. I would call up and ask “Yow, Sheldon working todeh?” When he left I never went back.

Have not had it in a while but never had an issue with this one place near me with getting my order right or issues, but i do have everything delivered from them. When i found out Golden Krust has beef patties in the frozen aisle it was over.
