FW Update 4.45 bricking PS3s | Last of Us Bricking old PS3s

Had to create this thread before the incoming swarm of xbots.

Anyway, the newest update seems to be bricking PS3s that have custom hard drives over 500 GB. Sony already pulled the update, but if you have PS+ and automatic updates enabled.... Do not install that shyt.

Also, apparently the Last of Us is making older PS3s (phats) run hot and either making them crash or deading them completely.

Reading is fundamental u xfanboys, it seems the update didn't account for non stock options maybe...


These nikkaz copped a system that come with a 4gb hard-drive

Sony sent out a system disability update.

That is still more reliable than a reg 360.

Yea I do... The more updates the better imo... the very few systems that bricked was due to them switching out theit hard drives for non sony manufactured hard drives... unforseen shyt happens sometimes
