I liked the ending. it showed Earn was coming into his own and didn't want any hand outs. He's becoming comfortable in his own skin and Earn wants to "earn" his. He's taking responsibility for his own actions.

The more I've thought about it that shot of Earn pulling the money out of his shoe is kind of hopeful in it's own right.
He took the money he saved in the first episode and got Paper Boi's song played on the radio. That 200 bucks he peeled off from his 5% could end up being the beginning of his next investment.

I think it was just to pay off for his storage space. The real test will come from whatever money he gets from the puppy investment.

That final sequence with him walking in the night bumping Outkast was me 100% from 2006-2009. Every night after work I'd be walking home at 10-11:30pm after getting off the Marta just bumping Kast, Nas, and Common
