Insecure is definitely more linear in it's storytelling; that is to say there is a clear narrative. Atlanta on the otherhand is more abstract, which imo gives it a lot more room to cover more topics.

Insecure is back in July and Glover already said he wants a tighter season 2 of Atlanta, I think all the fans are going to eat well of this
