So after watching both docs, one thing I’m still wondering. Was Billy scamming the ENTIRE time or was there a point where he legitimately thought the festival was gonna work? Like the part where he’s crying and having a breakdown made me think that a part of him thought they could pull the festival off but at the same time he could be that much of a sociopath where even those tears were part of the con

I think he just got in over his head.

Selling things before they are made (or available) is pretty common.

When you're in the middle of shyt like that youre just hoping that things work out for the best...because you really dont have any other option.

So I watched the Hulu documentary today after the watching the Netflix one on the weekend

Am I the only one a bit confused about how they got key people in both documentaries that aren't even mentioned in the other ?

Like dikk sucking Andy or the older Milf aren't even mentioned in the Hulu one but this Grant guy who seems like a key person and probably enabled Billy further to go with the fukkery I dont think he was mentioned at all in the netflix unless I've completely forgotten. Theres like 2 entire separate teams of people on Jerry and Fyre that were mentioned that aren't acknowledged

And Im hearing that like the people that produced both docs were kinda involved in the festival anyway

Whole thing seem even more kinda sus

heh? In the Netflix doc he was the #2 man behind Billy. At the end I was hoping he got as time as Billy, but he didn't.

My take away from the doc, is "fools and their money are easily separated". The end where the dude says you'll hear from Billy in the future because he's so good at separating the consumer from their money, and that's whats championed in the country.

I started one of the docs...what year was this festival supposed to happen? I’m not big on social media so I guess I missed the hype about this and am not understanding why this needs multiple docs about it...but I decided to watch based on reactions here and from friends.

Grant was mentioned in the Netflix doc and I think the people in each respective doc got paid to do their interviews. You'd have to pay me to willingly go on camera and admit I was part of that shytshow
