G Dep got rolled out the wrong way...to a lot of casual listeners he was just the "fish & spaghetti guy" and people HATED him on that song even though he went the fukk in...

another thing is his album leaked way before it came out...i bought a bootleg of Child of the Ghetto from a flea market what felt like 6 months before it actually came out...i know that couldnt have helped..

also Lets Get It should have been his song but they tacked it onto that Bad Boy album or whatever that was at the time.

Puff dropped the ball on Rob and G Dep, fam. The talent both them boys had was so ridiculous. They had the skill, the story, the charisma, the whole 9. To this day, I don't understand why duke just left them out there like that.

Signing with BAd Boy seems like you're signing a deal with the devil.

You get one album, it'll be a hit, you'll never get paid what you're supposed to, you'll never get another one and when you want to leave they want some ridiculous amount of money to buy your contract out. Everyone will know your name and know who you are,but you have no freedom and you can't get paid anywhere else with that fame

They all went through it. I remember when Mase had a deal set up with G unit and even after like 8 years since BB, Diddy wanted. Some sort of 7 figure buy out smh
