NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
He was nearly 19 years old (18 yr 11m) and had gone to college...not some 15 or 16-year-old kid who got caught up
Like I said. The victims own family forgave this nikka and said it was dumb for him to turn himself in and 18 years old ain’t some game changing shyt from 16 mentally. Regardless the nikka was a teen and he did his time.

Honestly, i feel conflicted.

Dude must have been tortured mentally knowing what he did. But at the end of the day, murder is murder.

If he got 2 years left, before he's eligible for parole, i think the best for everyone involved including him would be for him to finish his sentence. That way he won't feel like he got away with anything, the family won't feel like they are getting fukked, and etc. It's tough cause you can tell he has remorse.
The family didn’t want him to turn himself in bruh. They said he was stupid for doing that and he could’ve made something of his life.

But according this this article, the family doesn't want him to get out early.

"The victim’s brother, Robert Henkel, does not want Hochul to let Coleman out early. He said she should be “kicked out of office” if she gives clemency to his brother’s killer.

“This guy should do his whole time. He did it. He deserves his time,” he said, adding, “You do the crime, you do the time. Simple as that. You don’t deserve to get out.”

Anyone who thinks that a person who willingly acknowledges their role in as heinous an act as murder, and accepts their punishment for it to be an idiot, has it backwards. YOU'RE the idiot, and that includes any members of the victims family.

The step-brother clearly had no connection to the deceased if his only concern is "aw shucks, now we have to acknowledge my brother-in-law was murdered again after we had finally forgotten about him."

G-Dep did the right thing when he confessed, but I agree he shouldn't be turned into a sympathetic figure. I don't even have too much of a problem showing him a bit of mercy and commuting some of his sentence, but it shouldn't overshadow the fact that at the end of the day, he still murdered someone.

Yea hows his 3 kids sleeping growing up without a father? Hows his wife holding up?
I dont know about you but I sleep better in a bed in the comfort of my own home than sharing a cell with nikkas 🇾🇪

A guilty conscious does not care about the comfort of one's home. There are people who can't close their eyes at night despite laying on a 20k bed.

Man GTFOOH...Trying to turn this murderer into some sympathetic figure...He decided to rob a man and shot him 3 times. Not once, not twice, but 3 fukking times. Then went on to have a successful rap career while the man he killed had his life snatched from him.

to be fair it was a cac :yeshrug:

Nah. In a situation like this there should be no clemency, i do not care if he is remorseful. It is good he turned himself in but 15 years is nothing compared to the life he took. If he killed one of your relatives i do not think you would be for early release as well.

I don’t know why people are so confused about this. There are two different articles in this thread that illustrate the step brothers‘ perspective at two different points in his life.

In 2010, he thought it was dumb that G-Dep turned himself in, considering it was a long time ago and that he had 3 kids.

In 2022, his perspective is that since he turned himself in, he might as well do the time for his crIme.

It’s pretty straightforward. There’s also a 12 year age gap, so your point of view can change on things.
