Its just that nikkas like Dre and Quik are so talented they set the bar so high, and most nikkas just don't have the talent to do the sound justice, so you hear all these wacc ass g funk beat and be like "man dis shyt trash, no one wanna hear G fnk no more. Foh, you just need the right producer rapper combo. Its not like making trap beats where you can make a generic ass melody with wacc sounds but save it with some boomin ass 808s dat make people forget the rest of the beat is boring and wacc as fucc.
Take more talent to make a good beat that doesn't use boomin 808s nowdays, das why people just use the excuse that the sound is "dated" These 3 songs prove that when done right, G funk made today is just as good if not better than 95% of trap beats you hear.

It's P-Funk breh . . G-Funk is just an imitation of P-Funk. It never expanded upon P-Funk and it never advanced upon P-Funk
