I used to defend GAF on here all the time last year. But I've grown to hate that forum. All they do is bytch & WHINE over the same shyt all the time. It really gets irritating reading the same bytching & whining all the time.
There other reasons I hate that forum now, but ya'll pretty much have already said it in this thread especially @winb83
Like other have said, the only reason to visit that forum is because it's the go-to site for Video Game news.

Been a Neogaf member for 2 years now and I go there everyday atleast twice daily for the news. Still on 0 post count because I don't go there for the opinions 
. Neogaf is an invaluable source for news pertinent to my interests. That's where it starts and where it ends for me.
As far as podcasts go I listen to every podcast that was mentioned (and slammed) thus far
and I'll admit there is a detrimental lack of representation from the black community in US games "journalism". I don't listen to them for racial diversity though, some of them are entertaining. When I think of the local scene it's even worse.
Maybe the Coli breh-thren should get together and try to start an all black writer blog that promotes games journalism amongst minorities. I got lazy, wanted to start something and even created a Twitter account and I think I have one post on the "blog", I however do not have the skills required to create and maintain an entertaining gaming centric blog.

The warzone podcast use to be the goat, I think they stopped tho, mostly black and they went in depth on a lot shyt, hhg was a member and co founder and use to come with his back rumors that never came true

I'm all for more diversity in gaming media, but if HHG is the type of person I'm supposed to accept then I'd rather ignore them all which is what I usually do. The only gaming "journalist" that I respected was Adam sessler. He's gone now so none of them get my respect.

And y'all can quit with the "best place for gaming news" shyt. They do nothing but surf the web and post stories like every other forum. Industry people don't really respect the views there, some of them just choose to post cause its the largest gaming dedicated forum out there. In reality most industry people loath the place.
It's the best place for news because it has a lot of members, and news is posted quickly.
@dBoyFresh*212 has singlehandedly shown that it doesn't take much to have a bunch of stories on your forum. If we had a couple more members like him there wouldn't be a gaming story in existence that didn't come through the coli

the Dev cosign is really what gives Gaf their credibility IMO. Many devs have accounts on there. and N4G articles do have alot of info pulled from GAF. As with any site, you gotta ignore the bamas, cacs, and lames and get the real shyt you looking for.
But other than that I N4G has been where it's at.

And furthermore the only statements from devs that get respect over there are those that echo the hive mind. If a dev says something they disagree with over there they just claim he's lying, incompetent, or lazy
