Basically this. The last right with Gama...three chapters of "it's a test of wills...no longer about skill." The battle had a huge amount of drama and right after it ended the big dude goes "wow, he wasn't hurt that bad at all...he dominated my boy." So what was the purpose of that fight exactly?
I'm not interested in Gama vs the big guy who's gonna test him. The Banri fight has happened twice already with Shin edging both, so I'm not that hype. I wanna see the old cat vs that dude that killed all the archers and Iori fight anybody! Enough Zenmaru and Shin!

I kinda hope Gensai DOESN'T fight this kid. He's already got a date set with the best character design in the personal corps and his student is a top 5 character in the group so far too imo...Save some dope characters for Iori and Gama.
Good chapter everything seems to be coming to a head rather early though. But

What a waste that giant cat was too. I feel like we're on the verge of a Psyren like rush to conclusion, which might not be such a bad thing. The fights have gotten a bit formulaic. I'm still hype, Iori is FINALLY making a damned move.
If the end of this is strong enough, I'll put it up with my GOAT swordplay manga right with Vagabond and just above Ares.

Yeah, the fights are formulaic...Secret Technique just barely defended...secret technique properly defended...New secret technique...rinse, wash repeat until...desperation counter attack and killing blow.
