Are you stating ignorance isn't a bad thing?

This is how I know you don't know much about history. When European Christian missionaries came into West Africa they came with European soldiers and then colonize Africa. The Europeans converted the masses to Christianity and used there religion as a tool to control Africans and colonize. That's way English, French and Portuguese is spoken in West Africa as an official language. There is no Arabic spoken in West Africa. Islam was spread throughout west Africa by African Kings and Empires, just like traditional African religions. Major difference.actually no, i do not have to distinguish between anybody, anymore than i need to distinguish between white christian missionaries or white christian slave traders
I think the issue is he just threw their constitution in the bushes, breh...
Constitutions in Africa are not worth the paper they're written on.
Ever single country in Africa that has had a coup and counter-coup had a ''constitution''. No one respects it because it's not a tradition.
If a system is not developed organically you can't expect it to work as well as in the places it was imported from.
Africans need local solutions.

This is not entirely true and if it was what does this have to do with the false statement of Arabs converting west Africans to Islam and building colonies. Different west African people converted other Africans people to traditional and other religions by brute force and The Fulani are a West African People.
1)You do know that the Fulani were controlled and dominated initial by the Muslim Songhai Empire and Songhai People correct. The Songhai people were practicing Islam and dominated West Africa why before the Fulani showed up. The Songhai Empire was one of the largest Muslim empire in terms of land-mass in History. So Islam had a dominance in the region why before the Fulani. So many of the people the Fulani were fighting were already Muslim.Yes it is true and the reason for why I said this was because you implied that no west Africans were brutalised and forced to become Muslims. The Fulani acted as middle men by the Arabs and even have some Arab blood in them ergo, they were encouraged to do so by the Arabs. Their expansion into the south-west of Nigeria was done solely to expand their Islamic caliphate- a problem that is still affecting Nigeria today. Essentially, what you're saying is akin to someone saying that white people were not responsible for buying slaves as it was mostly African middlemen who physically caught the slaves.
I should read more about Gambia, the way it's just there surrounded by Senegal is yet another crazy residue of colonialism. They seem to be very different countries, don't know much about it tbh.
