It wasn't a bad call. USC was going to throw it short for a 25 yard gain to get in fg position (They actually had receivers run short routes). Tenn couldn't just send everyone back. The safety just goofed end let the WR get behind him.
say alabama is -8 playing michigan
that means they are favored to win by 8 points or more
so for oyur bet to win if you bet on bama they have to win by 9 points
if you bet on michigan for you to win michigan just has to not lose by more than 8
20-13 bama you'd win
20-12 bama you'd just get back what you bet
20-11 bama you'd lose
