Game Backlog: The Metal Gear Solid Series

I am just getting back into gaming after life, no $$$ and life made me put gamnig on pause.


I have not played the Metal gear series and I wanted to know, can I just start at 2 or do I need to play from Part 1 to get the series fully? I got Solid on my og ps one that hasnt been played in like 10 year if not longer. So help a breh out

What games are good, whats hit or miss and whats a must have.

You might want to re-play MGS1 before you play MGS4. That way you can remember the story fully and not be

play 1 first no matter what order you do after. gets you used to the game mechanics and storyline.

tedious but a great story to watch unfold

Play them in the order they were released (don't skip 1). If you play them in chronological order you'll probably get frustrated as hell with the mechanics that are missing in certain titles.

I just re-copped MGS HD collection since my last one came up missing a while ago. I had MGS3 on PS2 that I could play in my fat PS3 and almost finished, but that console went YLOD, so I copped this so I could finish that and peace walker in HD instead. I played quite a bit of peace walker on my daughter's psp, but I need a full console to really get that complete and I might as well start over.

I was playing a little of MGS2, and I gotta say, that it's not as piff as I remember. The camera controls are fukking horrible.
