I didn't enjoy it as much as other titles. For some reason that gun store ish had me like :wtf:
To be honest i expected more out of it, but it just showed that the gameplay was becoming out dated. Full camera control didn't change much. Still had a lot of fun tho.

C/s every other poster saying play mgs1 first. If you don't like the first one dont even bother. And snake eater is the hardest to play imo

Me too. I only played 1 playthrough and the ability to make the guns ridiculous ruined it for me, mostly b/c I didn't use a lot of restraint.

:what:

there are no camera controls except to aim

I'm realizing this now. going into the game, I assumed the right stick would control the camera. I also didn't remember not being able to move and shoot either.

I mean its just been years and years since playing MGS2, so that's what I assumed since I didn't remember the controls. and it controls nothing like MGS4, which is how I was thinking it would play.

I remember playing the first one on NES, i got stuck somewhere and threw it in the bushes, but i remember it being :ahh::ahh:

Does it tie in too? I could give it a run now, that I am seasoned and it would be pretty epic to just run through the whole series :ehh:

I haven't touched that since the 90's. and it was in MGS4 for a little while and was extremely dated. I'd probably skip that one. but its still a good game. but that's two costumes ago.

i tried but mgsx didnt age well :flabbynsick: , gameplay wise atleast

I feel u. That's how I was feeling going back to MGS2. Decided to play MGS peace walker instead, and the controls are piff. especially now that I have two sticks instead of 1 when playing it on PSP. it's easily the best game of the 3 on the disc.

Just finished MGS1 for the first time. :wow:

For some reason I finished MGS2,3, & 4 before even getting to MGS1.

About to play Peace Walker, anyone on the PS3 wanna run co-op?

How do you think it compares to the other games? I mean obviously it won't compare in terms of graphics since it's a PS1 game, but honestly if I had to pick a favorite out of the four it would be that one.

But I'm probably biases since I played them in order, and at time time (I was like 13 when it came out) I was completely blown away by gameplay and especially the story. Which ending did you get (there are two)?

And I bet you're probably just now getting a lot of the references that MGS4 made to that game. :russ:

I made sure I read the storyline after playing mgs2. Cleared up alot of confusion.
