lol @ I'm an ex Game head so I know what I speak of

Game is one of those most authentic rappers in the Game...

all the other antics bi-polar shyt people complain about only really bothers people without fathers... stop looking to these rappers for guidance

It's valid. You didnt seem to make any valid arguments so..

True, but that doesn't apply to me. Nor does it have much to do with what i was speaking on.

The rappers on "the same gang" rapped about the same shyt as the rappers in "don't shoot" true or false? You are clearly givin those old school rappers a pass for doin the same shyt that the rappers are doin today. Gangsta rap is gangsta rap. What's the difference between eazy e talkin about shooting other black people or when Rick Ross says it :comeon: At least be consistent bruh.
how many gangster rappers were even on Same Gang? NWA, Ice T, & Above the Law (am i missing any?)...Eazy's verse pretty much said if thats the life you choose than you know whats going to happen...he wasnt preaching.

its why I dont have a problem w/ the Gunit track...they kept in line w/ what they normally rap about.

I dont think anyone would put NWA and Rick Ross in the same box....go back and listen to those NWA/Ice T albums...a common theme in those albums was this life is not what you want.

NWA, ice t, atl all rapped about street shyt, violence, guns, dope and bytches and money. The same exact thing the rappers do today. Stop making excuses for one set of people that do the same as others.

How do you know for a fact that it's not genuine? :what: Rappers should be some of the main people to push a positive message. Why? Because they have a huge impressionable fan base. If people will listen to them rap about the hood, the streets etc, why wouldn't they listen to this message. It's all about balance breh.

I was a little kid when all those rappers released "self destruction" and "all in the same gang" But by your thought process, it wasn't "genuine" either? :comeon: Should those artist back in the day NOT have said anything :stopitslime:

You're one of the dumbest posters on the Coli. A big, dumb jock.

'Police takin shots and I aint talkin bout Ciroc'
:banderas: that word play. i seriously thought he was talking about shots of ciroc until he clarified that he wasnt :wow:

Nobody is asking for them tho :dahell: When shyt like this happens, nobodys first thought is " :damn: Quick, get Game and Rick Ross in the studio. We have to hear their thoughts on this tragic event."

the bars were good, that beat was terrible, they needed some shyt that evoked anger, not this final fantasy sounding shyt

for those critizing them because they kill people in their songs

nikkaz in the street ain't innocent, mike brown wasn't a street nikka, and he was a kid on his way to college killed by a law enforcement professional, it doesn't compare

my only criticism of the rappers is they should always have raps like this in their music

Spitta and Problem came through :leon:

Like others have said it's a step in the right direction, being that the song is actually about something...The hook and chorus were weak tho imo.
Of course mostly everything about most of these rappers is hypocritical, but that doesn't mean that they cant speak on a social issue. There are so many hypocrites in this society (religious/political/etc) that carry FAR much more weight than these rappers, why single them out alone? :manny:

I respect these cats for using hip hop to return to its social-political roots.

Unlike, we are the world, self destruction or,other songs in efforts like this, this song severely lacks marquee names (ie Jay, Nas, Drake, Ye, Wayne). In the past all have made songs for different causes but it would have been more impactful to have them on one song.
