The problem with the MVP Award is that people started taking the meaning of "Most Valuable" literally and if you do that no one but a QB can win. Before 2012, it went to the player with the best season. Tyreek Hill is by far having the best season and should be MVP IMO

Different sports but if we're going to take "Most Valuable" literally when voting for the MVP Award then LeBron James should have won almost every single MVP Award from 2008 until like 2019 because no one was more valuable than him.

Voters ruined this award. We should really be honoring whoever had the best season.

If Tyreek gets it good for him and this is a 49ers fan. He is putting up Randy Mossesque numbers.

He shouldn’t be the MVP but the league has been designed to allow shyt like this. I think MVP should be CMC and even Cheetah but I think Brock is going to win. He’s a QB and it’s a nice story.
If Brock wins, expect a Eckler-like effect around the league.

Why pay QBs 200Ms when you can pay them 80-100 and spread that money around?

It would prove creative Offensive Minds within the coaching room is more valuable than anything.

There's actually nothing wrong with Brock Purdy being in consideration for MVP.
He wouldn't be my vote at this time, but he's having a great season.

A guy who leads the league in passer rating, doesn't make a lot of mistakes and has his team as one of the Super Bowl favorites is going to get MVP consideration. That's just how it is.

But I'd vote for Lamar Jackson.
And if not Lamar, then probably Dak Prescott, Tua Tagovailoa or Tyreek Hill.

Defensive players are historically disrespected when it comes to MVP. But a lot of attention needs to go to Khalil Mack (what year is this?!?!) and Myles Garrett.

Props to Nico Collins for probably being this year's most improved player, even if that's not a spotlighted award.

If Houston makes the Playoffs, CJ Stroud should be MVP and DeMeco Ryans wins Coach of the Year.

Came in to post this.
The Texans were supposed to be bottom feeders. What they are doing is improbable. Stroud's excellence is elevating everyone and keeping them afloat.

But we all know MVP doesnt mean Most Valuable Player anymore.
