So I recently got into an argument about which series was more popular and while I attempted to prove that Game of Thrones was more popular and had the better viewership I had no actual evidence to back that up so does anyone in here have the statistics of viewers for all the seasons of both shows?
Also which do you think is better.

Everyone loves breaking bad but I couldn't get passed episode 4 in the first season.

Just wasn't my kind of show my attention was always wondering off to something else.

Game of thrones doe :banderas:

First episode had me hooked.

I watched 2 seasons in 2 days :wow:

Matter fact since we are gearing up for Season 4.

I just watched season 3 again all at once :whew:
The weekend before the show hits I'm watching all 3 again. The show is that good brehs.

Its weird
Breaking Bads numbers on average outside of Part II of the final season doesn't even stack up well against GoT's season 1
Breaking bad averaged under 2million viewers per episode seasons 1-4
While averaging over 2.5 million in Part I of season 5
But Part 2 for some reason did did an average of just over 5 million per episode plus a 10 million finale
How the fukk does a show spike like that

Here
Click on each season and you can see the viewership per episode
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_Bad

GoT's Numbers By Season
it grows every year
This year should average over 6 per episode

Breaking Bad didn't get crazy popular until bandwagoners hopped on in season 5. Actually they might even be equal before that. With that said when it comes to TV ratings BB is higher for the last season but things like dvd sales and such I'd say GOT does better.

This is a tricky question.

On average "GoT" has more viewers, but the final 4 episodes of "BB" were higher than any episode of "GoT", and the finale had 10.2 million viewers, twice as much as the most watched episode of "GoT".

Also "BB" is the most watched show on Netflix in the U.S.:

Obviously there's no equivalent for "GoT" since it's on HBO.

To be fair I'd say over all "GoT" might be more popular....but I doubt it will ever reach what season 5 of "BB" did, either in viewership or pop culture relevance.

As far as which is better....the people that write "GoT" think "BB" is the GOAT, and the actors are all huge fans. GRR Martin himself wrote a blog about "BB" the day "Ozymandias" aired.

And that speaks for itself really. :manny:

Now here's a picture of Jesse Pinkman and Melisandre:

i agree with fred..there will never be a GoT fever that sweeps the nation like breaking bad did for its last stretch.
but thrones is now by default the best show on tv :jawalrus:

Oh I think Breaking Bad is better. The guy was just arguing that I thought that because it was more popular and said that game of thrones was better by far and less popular.
