Cant remember shyt from season 2. The funny thing is i remember lots more from the first season.

Only thing I remember is people wondering if Daemon was hallucinating that one hoe and he was able to see the future.

Oh... And Aegon describing how his joint got blew off in the fire. :heh:

At some point HBO/Max/Netflix/etc decided to abandon the "one season a year" approach for a lot of expensive shows. I don't know if spacing out production is for tax purposes or something else because it's clearly killing viewership. S2 did not do as well as it should have, even accounting for the dip in overall show quality.

Even stranger, Max doesn't really have a lot of new shyt popping. They used to do a great job staggering their shows throughout the year to maximize viewership, headlines, social media engagement, etc. Last year's White Lotus season was pretty popular and ended in April. Then Last Of Us S2 started, ending in May. Why wasn't HOTD ready for the summer, when they had nothing of interest on?

Shows are becoming too expensive for yearly releases. They’re essentially costing as much as movies now.

But the formula to keep viewers interested to is to have cheaper spinoff/B story in between seasons which has sort of link/payoff to the main series/A story.

The boys has done this successfully with Gen V.

This is a very interesting point that makes a lot of sense. And further drives home how much stuff is truly filler/slop meant to pass the time before the main show returns.
