halo has been trash since halo 2

halo was kind of wack from the beginning only thing that was really good about halo was how the game worked, levels vehicles etc.

the weapons and the things you fought against were horrible though

any modern warfare game besides the first one is trash

if u stopped messing with COD after mw2 and didn't play black ops u missed out huge because black ops was amazing

i used to really like the fable games but after they released fable 3 which was horrible it fell off too me, lack of character creation and customization was horrible, and of course skyrim came through and did what every game like that has been trying to do.

assassins creed is just wack now

lots of sports games fall off, they focus wayyyy to much on graphics with sports games

acutally sim games in general they focus way too much on graphics instead of simulating the feeling of whatever is going on

I wonder how much of this is due to getting older and having different interests and less time versus the series just getting wack.

That's pretty much what it comes down to with me and fightin' games. Time and different interests.

As much as I want to get into SSF4, SFxT, MvC3, MK9, Tekken etc., I just don't feel like puttin' in the time to learn the ins and outs of them shyts. It just seems more technical than fun now IMO. 3S was the last fighter I put time into learnin', but haven't seriously played that in years. I'd say my love for fighters hit it's peak in the PS2 era.

Any fighter I play now is just for kicks. Don't ask me how :smugfavre:

Gave up on Halo after Reach.

Gave up on Ass Creed after 3.

Gave up on the Bond games after Everything or Nothing.

Gave up on God of War after Ghost of Sparta.

Gave up on Gran Turismo after 3.

Gave on Midnight Club after 2.

Gave up on Need for Speed after Hot Pursuit (2010).

Gave up on Final Fantasy after I discovered Kingdom Hearts and Persona.

Gave up on Gears of War after 3.

Gave up on the 3D Sonic games after Heroes.

Probably several others I forgot to mention, but whatever, that's what sprung to mind.

Halo after I beat 3

Madden...came back to give it another shot for the 25th anniversary and hated that ish.

Disgaea...really just too much micro managing and character building for me to go through these games any more.

Stopped playing MGS after Snake Eater but I'ma probably play catch up.

:dahell: Whats wrong with Fight Night Champion? Its one of my all time favorites.
It's been awhile but I remember hating the lack of customization you could make. The programmers for the fight night as a series have never known what the fizzuck they were doing when trying to create boxers and match their attributes. It's unnerving that Greatest Heavyweights for the Sega Genesis and Knockout Kings 2001 for the PS1 were miles ahead of them in that compartment.

And all the time, money and space used for the "single player" champion mode was horse shyt. Why they couldn't have what Victorious Boxers 2 on the ps2 did for a single player experience is incredibly frustrating. Everything is always bare bones and at the minimum with this series. Hell I remember when they said having robes was impossible, then Don King's boxing game came out and forced their hand. They're lazy fukks.

Now, I always say even if you can't license the best boxers, have an exhaustively deep custom base so one can create till their heart's content. Visually, they did OK. Attribute wise, not in the slightest.

Now it's not a bad game, but as a boxing enthusiast, I expect better by now. And were they still doing that parry/pause bullshyt :dahell:

They dont have parry or those silly ass special moves from the tyson vs ali one.

I can agree that the customization could be deeper, you got a good point there. But to me the single player story was an awesome addition cause it was so well done. Great sense of character and cinematography, and one of the most satisfying final bosses to beat of any video game period.

Besides that I had a lot of fun with the legacy mode which is the career mode but id have to play the other boxing games you named to be fair as far as judging that and the gameplay itself against other boxing games. To me this shyt was dope tho :patrice:

That's what I meant, the career mode was pitiful compared to what I've seen thus far. That Hajime no Ippo 2 game only came out in Japan but man was it incredible :wow:

I've never played a sports game for a story mode, felt out of place and served no replay value. Should've been an add-on :manny:
