That’s comparing COD in 2026 vs other games in 2026, not comparing COD in 2026 to COD in 2025. If you did, you’d get data like this https://www.gamespot.com/articles/c...ly-down-from-black-ops-6-report/1100-6536893/

You keep harping on that single month like the argument was COD vs other games. You might qualify for disability breh, you should apply.
You are the one hanging on a single month. :comeon:

I’m showing that the game is selling well. even on a “down” year for COD it’s still topping the sales charts.

That’s not a franchise that’s “failing” or in dire need of some changes.

it only looks bad in comparison to 5 at launch cause 5 was HUGE.

A game still topping the monthly sales charts and pulling 600,000 players a day doesn’t need your sony cult concern or advice :stopitslime:

Thank you for returning to the orignal premise: COD has fallen off COMPARED TO ITSELF IN PREVIOUS YEARS. I dont care about tertiary bullshyt, stick to the fukking point.

I’d say the annual release cycle is higher on the list in terms of what’s causing the series sales to continue to fall.
The highest selling versions appear to be MW2019 and the black ops from 2015.
A two year release cycle, less bullshyt matchmaking engagement methods (sbmm and others), and less excessive monetization would turn the series around a whole lot in my view
my point about annual releases is it's hard for competition to get a foot hold, because there's always a new COD game around the corner

but I agree it makes it harder to maintain a level of quality. and leads to franchise fatigue with fans

It's funny that I said Game Pass price had gone up too quickly and was too expensive and a poor value and I was said to be wrong but Microsoft Gaming CEO's says it's too expensive and suddenly things will feel even better.

Why then isn't she criticized for saying the service is too expensive when 2-3 days ago everything was fine.

Makes sense that there's talk of Call of Duty exiting the service now. Sounds like the price will come down by degrading the service.

but you'd gladly pay $25 a month for youtube :skip:

obviously consumers would like to see the price of anything come down

I didn't buy COD last year even though I bought every year since 2019. I think franchise fatigue started hitting with newer entries looking no different than the last one. Hopefully this year's COD changes things up a bit.

It also didn't help that they broke their 'backwards compatibility' clause, in which cosmetics you bought in one game transferred over to the next. That's one of the main reasons I didn't even try and rock with the new one even though, I kinda liked how it was running, gameplay wise for a bit, before I eventually went back to using Beavis and Terminator skins in the one prior. As "Wacky" as the folk claimed those games to be with Niki Minaj and the light skin nikka from the Suns throwing Grenades at you from rooftops'n'shyt, I've oddly grown accustomed to that sort of MMO type character energy, so when they nixed all that and came back with these Cyborg, super serious soldiers, the shyt just looked....ugh, to me.
Heck, I disliked the current one so much I went back like two games and started playing that one. Think it was one of the Modern Warefare remakes.
