Only time i destroyed shot playing a game was back as a teen playing NBA Live.

I was still holding on to Live. Everyone else was on the 2k wave.

I'm playing live 05 with the Suns against the Spurs.

This when the Suns had Nash, Amare, Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson.

Kid you not this fool Bruce Bowen was killing. nikka was like 92 MJ.

I was heated cuz I could understand Duncan Ginobli or Parker going off but Bowen. fukk outta here.

I'm going hard and get us up 2 with 3 seconds left.

Man out of timeout Bruce Bowen does a left to right cross over on 2 defenders 3 nothing but net at the buzzer.

I threw the controller against the wall and broke it. Mom came in the room and cussed me out lol.

After that I got 2k and never played live again

A lot of these rages and what not that you see on twitch these days is a bunch of faking nonsense for views.

I would say like 90% of it.

The only ones that are authentic in my opinion are the ones from like a decade ago.

Ive thrown a controller and slammed a keyboard before, but I was under 18 years old when both of those happened. I think some of these dudes might be below that age too so Ill give them a half pass. But to be above that age, and still be having those outbursts on a regular basis is awkward. Your wife/girl cant be running into the room concerned wondering if you are okay just to see you dead in Fortnite and destroying the room :mjlol:

Nah, it's very real. I've seen it in person many times.

Before the pandemic I used to go to tournaments for Street Fighter and Tekken. The venue also had a large area for PC gamers. Every once in a while someone would freak out just like those dudes. shyt was awkward as hell, everyone would get real quiet and just look over at dude like
:dahell:

It was always a white dude raging too.

When I was in college living on campus there was a dude down the hall from me who would play PC games. I would hear him freaking out every other day...one day he somehow kicked a hole in his own door and he got removed from the dorms

The crazy thing is, yes, there are skills and decision making involved in many games.

However, there's a big luck element in lobbies as well when you're running with randoms.

People losing their shyt because cards don't fall their way many times.

Folks need to learn some composure and get some perspective. It gets far less stressful when you think about it that way.

I've been a gamer my whole life and I can recall ONE time I got mad that I punched the couch.

It was 2004, I was playing Final Fantasy XI the online game. This was a notoriously hard and time consuming game to play. I'd spent the better part of the afternoon camping a monster for a rare item. I'd already claimed it 2-3 times but didn't get the drop. It was getting dark out and I hadn't moved from the couch. Around 10:30 pm I saw the 9th or so pop of the monster. Only for some ass hat just running through to claim it AND get the drop. Not only that, he brought a train of aggroed monsters to the camp where I subsequently died and dropped down a level (of which it took at least 3-4 hours to get back).

I wanted to put my foot through my PC monitor but I just threw a tantrum instead. From that point on I vowed never to let a game get me that upset. I've never done that in public or on stream. Why? Because that's some soft ass shyt...even if its money on the line.
