He lets pollution, genocide, hunger, homelessness, oppression, political and religious oppression and systemic racism and the raping of entire cultures continue due to his small town sensibilities and political correctness cause that's how his dumb ass foster daddy raised him.
He steals, lies and lobotomies with laser eyes to protect his identity.
and don't forget he killed off his own people.
He presents himself as a hero because he thinks he's a hero and you think he's a hero cause he does some heroic deeds. That's called image, but the reality is far darker than that.
With super hearing he hears alot and ignores alot. He picks and chooses who he wants to save instead of contributing to society with his super intelligence a better, safer way to live which is what mankind has been doing since the advancement of civilization. We still have a long way to go and superman offers nothing to the table.

While the story was convoluted and I didn't agree with his every move, Ardyn from FF15 was a great villain and you kinda felt for him at the end cause it looks like he got fukked over in his early years
