Look, I'm hijacking another thread. But for good reason. There is a bigger revelation to the story that seems to be going over the heads of everyone.
EA apologized for NBA Live 14 being underwhelming. But what they said they'll do about it should be an eye opener to every gamer out there

They are indirectly saying that there is no need to even have a NBA Live 15 because they can just upgrade Live 14'
Its right there, they will improve all that over the coming weeks. Graphics, animations, significantly.

Killer Instinct is set to have 4 seasons worth of content. New characters, new levels, new moves, new everything. Courtdog even predicted thats how EA would update there sports games in the future.
When we go totally digital, it makes little sense for companies like EA to keep up the charade.
They may try it for the first year or two, unless we wise up as a people.

This is has always been the case unfortunately.. They always held back games and later unlocked resolutions/features/graphics etc through "driver updates", patches or expansions. This is even worse now though, game companies straight raping peoples pockets legally with "Premium Packages" and 5x DLC... before it was ONE game and ONE expansion. And the expansion came out a year + later because it changed the entire land scape of the game. Now a days expansions are just adding characters, maps, etc that already in the game files but just locked until you buy the damn DLC
Even Twitch, the streaming site everyone talks about has settings for popular streams that you cant even watch the stream in high resolution unless you subscribe to the stream for $7.99 or some shyt
So I cant even watch this Call of Duty tournament on high settings unless I spend money

its only going to get worse with "free to play" and micro transactions (really means "pay to win" )

2k14 isn't even all that nice aside from the graphics. They took out association mode and replaced it with MyGM

I might cop this when I get ps4 because 2k gives no fukks and wont patch something as a simple as a online franchise mode.
All jokes aside Live is terrible but if they are willing to work all year I can support that
lets not say 2k gives no fukks. they don't give a fukk about certain things such as online. but next gen 2k has flaws too. that being said, the core gameplay of 2k14 is that piff, and they built the game from the ground up instead of porting it. which is why most folks are saying its the best next gen launch game. 2k will probably patch some of the issues like they do every year, but I dont expect them to do a major overhaul. and why would they when its getting over 8/10's on EVERY review????

Which makes the fact that they refuse to fix or patch or even admit that OA os fukked up even more of a shytty situation. It robs nikkas of enjoying a sim like experience with probably the only bball game to nail the sim experience to a T.
