Ds4's have shytty batteries breh. shyts only last 4-6 hours.

With Xbox controllers you have the choice of what batteries to use. If the play and charge kit sucks you can buy something else. I don't have one, I don't know how good they are. I did buy some $10 enoloops and they last much longer and are much more convenient than the batteries in the DS4:manny:

It last at least 6 hours. That means a person like you who don't play games it will last for weeks

I don't believe 4 hours is accurate...BUT...like I said I have 4 controllers, and I have the dual charging cradle. When one controller dies I always have at least 2 more with full charge on deck. Battery life on a controller has never been an issue for me. If some energizers last longer...cool...in the long run, if you're a gamer that 4 hours isn't enough charge time, then you do the math and those batteries will run you more than the cost of the controller itself. $60 for a dual shock that's rechargable vs $60 for an X1 controller that you have to buy batteries for, forever. I don't know what you pay for your batteries but those packs of 8 or whatever aren't 2 or 3 dollars. And if you got more than one controller? Yikes
The batteries are $10 for 6 recharchable.

You bought 4 controllers and a charging dock..... Yikes

Cause everyone knows rechargeable energizers last forever :mjlol:. You're defending them for not making a rechargeable controller but then you're saying you bought stuff to make it rechargeable. :stopitslime: Either you're buying batteries every week or you are disappointed in MS design choice.
I got 4 controllers because we all game over here. Not just for me.

All batteries die. Its a matter of physics. With the ds4 when the battery dies the controller is done. With the X1 controller I can just buy more batteries.

Its about having more options. I can have the same exact experience you are having. I can buy a play n charge kit, I can buy some of the high tec long lasting batteries. I can buy dollar store batteries.

With the x1 controller I've never had to plug it up and wait. With the ps4 controller I've had to stop playing and charge it up on multiple occasions. And I can do nothing about that, that's just how it works.

For someone who thinks the Xbone is shyt you sure do make a lot of threads about it :francis:.

btw you could get a better deal on amazon if you trade in your ps3 towards a ps4 bundle :yeshrug:

This is false. Amazon's highest offer for a PS3 is the 500GB model for $109 dollars, compared to the current $125 offer for the Xbox One. Link here.[/ur]

DS4 can be plugged into any USB port and still be used while charging

Yea the battery life does suck though.

I got this and keep my second controller on it and if one dies I jut switch em.

Worst case I just plug it into my laptop and keep playing. :manny:

:what:Man what are you talking about? First of all, the PS4 COMES with a "plug and play kit". Second, you can very much use the controller while it's charging so you miss me with that "With the ps4 controller I've had to stop playing and charge it up on multiple occasions. And I can do nothing about that, that's just how it works" . Third they sell attachments to extend the battery life if that's your thing too. Lastly, in the unlikely event that the controller no longer holds a charge at all, they sell replacement internal batteries too. And for the inevitable "Who wants to go through the trouble of opening a controller" comment, no one really does, but its an option, which is what you are claiming PS4 doesn't have. Also, how would any working man have more than 6 hours a day to play video games in one sitting? I game heavy, but with real life going on I can only manage to squeeze in an average of about 2 hours a day of gaming, maybe more if I push it till late at night, weekends being the exception. I usually understand your point of view when you comment on stuff but right now you're stretching.

I'm not trying to use any plugged in controller when my TV/consoles are 20 feet from the couch. Seems like I'm charging these damn ps4 controllers every day and I barely play. At least a full charge on a xbox one battery will last close to a week

Wait? Xbox one controllers still require batteries? :russ:
Why shouldn't external batteries be an option? The internal battery in the DS4 aren't gonna last forever and it's an easy swap on the XB1. I got the controller with the rechargeable battery with mine and when the battery goes bad I just toss it and put a new one on there.

Short ass USB cable doesn't reach the couch, and I'd rather not use cords if I don't have to.

Aftermarket shyt, not sold by Sony that may or may not work, and probably invalidates your warranty.

I wouldn't call those reasonable options. Compared to just buying some cheap rechargeable batteries and popping them in when ready.

Also, how would any working man have more than 6 hours a day to play video games in one sitting? Its not about playing for 6 hours straight. As you say I'm a busy man, I don't always remeber to plug it back up after I play everytime and I don't want to. I also have kids and a wife that may use the controllers and not plug them back up. Its the worst shyt ever to sit down to play and the controler is out of juice. Especially as a busy man with limited time to play.

As I said the DS4 battery situation is limited and crappy. They put a cheap ass battery and a persistent light on the damn thing :beli:

Exactly. Don't know why this is so hard to understand.
