The way they was popping up everywhere I thought they was doing pretty good. I guess I was wrong. But 500 when you divide it by 50 states it's really not that big a deal. Just off the top of my head I can name 7 locations in the Birmingham area alone. I know Birmingham isn't big so if we got 7 here, it's not that big of a drop in stores. I just hate it for the people that's losing their jobs.

A gang of minimum wage teens and snotty managers losing their job ain't shyt, :birdman:

It's a blessing, :blessed:

GameStop has its purpose. That being said at one point we had 4 GameStop stores within a 2 miles or each other. There were two in the same mall and two directly accross from each other.

This lends credence to the notion that console manufacturers may be looking at ending used games sales....

They may know something that we don't....:ld:

The D (where it's so cold)

So I guess the no used game rumor has more truth to it than people want to believe, I think Gamestop knows more than they are letting on. When Sony first announced or it was revealed they were filing for the patent Gamestop's stock dropped significantly, I guess this is sort of a preemptive strike to what might happen down the road when the next gen consoles get rolling.

I was listening to a Podcast (might have been IGN's Beyond PS3 podcast) and they were saying alot of developers want this more than Sony does since it would boost initial sales and that would somewhat prevent massive layoffs if a game doesn't sell what it is supposed to.

I mean Gamestop has it coming I'm glad in a way but that is alot of stores and alot of jobs also alot of money people will hold onto instead of buying a games at full price.
