This past gen saw a great rise in Fighting games...the tournament culture...rebirth of Street Fighter [for better or worse], New crossovers and general innovation, SNK being back with a vengance...every major game series saw great releases.

It was refreshing to those of us who go back to SF2 [or ONE...what you know about Street fighter on Commadore Amiga]...

SO

what genre could see another rebirth this generation?

I'm thinking beat em ups or hack and slash...Could this generation see a new GOLDEN AXE or GAUNTLET? A new Turtles game? Streets of Rage or River City Ransom?

What are your thoughts on games that can get hot on PS4/XB1/WiiU?
I'd say sports games.
Right now, Sports games are not evolving fast enough. They fun.. 2K I love, FIFA is dope. I even like Madden
But there hasn't been a sports game that has turned heads since NBA2K1 and NFL2K
Madden has improved and survived. But when will there be a new HIT game
Run n Shoot was great from Konami... Mutant League Footbrawl, Arch Rivals, NFL Blitz
There was always secondary games to compliment the more serious ones
What happened to those? (NBA Street)

i wouldn't mind seeing a remake of this game

i thought the idea for the game was ill, but the technology really limited. A first person shooter with clans, and random dinosaur attacks with this current graphics would be :ohlawd:

Sleeping Dogs is good. I got it for free on Xbox Live a few months ago.

The problem with sports games is they are under contract to have a game released every year. If they were allowed to be released every two years I think we could get major improvements.

I think the AAA developers & publishers will soon realize alot of money can be made off this genre

With most licensed sports franchises implementing some.form of "career mode or life style" game mode , i can only imagine a successful bi yearly franchise surviving off its online community & customization.
