Gaming is cheaper now than its ever been before

I thought this video was relevant to the "devs should lower costs" arguments.

Modern games are more complex and take much more manpower to create, yet we are paying much less for them, and everyday another fanboy gets on the Internet and complains about these companies charging too much or "raping" him.

Gamers are spoiled beyond belief, and all they keep shouting is "give me more for less"

shame on you dudes. The Internet fanboy will be the death of gaming, and the gaming "journalist" does nothing but fan the flames.

I'm on the cut-costs bandwagon but I'm also ok with raising prices, personally. Both solutions are fine.

The truth is gamers ARE spoiled. Supply is kind of bigger than demand at this point. So many people want to make games and not enough people are willing to pay 60-70 per game to play. We've got too many great games to buy more at full price. Our cups runneth over. Something's gotta give.

The "cut costs" idea is just unrealistic.

Even angry birds cost more to make and took more manpower than that $80 genesis game.

Even if most devs cut their costs and move torwards low budget games, they still have lower profitability than ever before.

The games industry generates billions upon billions of dollars, but due to piracy, retail, used games, middlemen, etc. The people who deserve the money(devs) are not getting their fair share. Either there needs to be a way to shift that money to their pockets or they need to raise prices accross the board.

The entire game industry is broke. You have companies complaining about piracy or people complaining about their prices but they offer the same games year in and out for the same price.

No reason for Madden to be 60 evey year the past decade or an Game controller to be 60 every year of a system life because it doesn't make sense. You have Microsoft packing a corny as kinect with a system that nobody cares about. Sony played it smart and chose consumers first.

People not complaining about the prices but the arguments these companies are having is retarded and doesn't make sense.

How come the PC gaming industry is emerging again. These console developers is BS breh. Majority of them uses the same game engines across the board which is less of the cost and they complaining. Like really?
