And I did it with the exact same budget (which was the point of the thread), all you need to admit is that you underestimated what $400 can get you.

It's alright breh, we all make mistakes sometimes.
Well you won't be able to play the ubi games at console levels, so it doesn't really matter. But you will be able to play almost everything else. I readily admit to that (and already did in the previous post).

You initial build was trash, that's what I commented on before. If you would have started off with a 280x and a better CPU, things would have been different. If I knew you were buying used, things would have been different.

You changed shyt up, so I changed my opinion. I can admit to that. Still think that initial build wasn't good though. :manny:

I'll admit that $400 can go a long way if you get used shyt. Congrats

The 750K and 760K are really not all that much different. You can overclock a 750K to smoke the 760 anyway.

Also, I've already posted videos that my initial build would have been just fine.

I hate to say it breh, but you've been exposed on here by daze and 2gunsup. You really did think you needed a much bigger budget to game on a PC.

How did either of them expose me?

And you still got the ubi problem

Plenty of times man. I'm confident I'll be able to run those ubi games with minimal tweaks also.

fukking fatboi was able to get to run far cry 4 on a damn Pentium G3258. My overclocked 760K will handle that and everything else with ease.

Don't fall for marketing hype, the biggest thing people focused on was my CPU choice because it wasn't Intel. But I KNOW it won't be a problem at this time.

Pretty sure you won't be playing Far cry 4 at high unless they patch it in time. Pretty sure you won't be playing watch dogs on high (they never fixed that shyt). Pretty sure you won't be play ac:unity on high

But yes, your new build is much better than your previous build. You can make a reasonable pc for $400 if you buy used shyt. I'll admit to that. It'll play most games at console levels :salute:

(I wouldn't buy used GPUs or CPUs, but that's me)

the GPU and CPU are the safest things you can buy used in a PC to drive costs down.

You don't buy used motherboards, hard drives, or power supplies.

I treat gpus and cpus like a motorcycle. You don't know how hard they used that shyt, so it's better to buy new. Did they redline the bike for 10K miles? I have no idea. Did they overclock that shyt so high that it cut the life of the components in half cuz of temps. I have no idea. It's a risk I don't take.

I've been building desktops for people for almost 16 years. Just trust me on this one.

The people that push their components that high are an extremely low number even today.

Like I've said before, you and many others on here fall into the enthusiast category. Buying new vs used when it comes to components doesn't really mean much in the long run...we typically don't use the machines for more than 3 years for it to ever really be an issue.

The biggest mistakes you can make is the motherboard, hard drive (data loss), or a power supply blowing your whole system up. The CPU and GPU are easily replaceable and you will be up in running again in minutes if something goes wrong.

Word :ehh:

Well congrats on making a console equivalent pc for $400 (minus ubi of course....hahahaha). I didn't think it could be done, but with these upgraded, used parts I think you can do it. :salute:

And you're right about the 3 year thing. Us enthusiasts don't keep things that long

:pacspit: for not helping find that ciggavelli imposter though

You deserve someone making an alias :manny:

I have an idea of who it was, but I don't know definitively

Why, because I pointed out all the broken games that came out this year and the fact that I was getting out of the game for a few months? That's all that was really said in this thread (other than me not liking your initial build). People just got mad at me for saying I was done with pc gaming for a bit. I said why which was totally tangential to the point of the thread initially. I think my concerns were justified and I didn't say anything outrageous in this thread at all. 3 people just got mad at me. 3!

I have an idea who made the alias too. I can think of 2 people in particular. I think I know which one too. But I can't prove anything either.
