Why didn't he just pay for an accountant to audit himself? My memory is hazy but I think E felt P was stealing royalties. Goons were there for retribution.

Rappers in the 80s and 90s were so fukking dumb lmao. These are rappers in 1992 breh. Most of the cash was probably off the books.
They were at the height of their powers, just dropped their 4th album and they formed the Hit Squad which was them, Redman, K-Solo, Das Efx and the Knuckleheadz. Parrish was doing a lot of the business and doing well helping all these artists get deals, he had his own imprint/production company and could get anyone he wanted on Atlantic Records. Erick was the music guy and also the guy more out in the street hanging out on blocks and shyt. He got it in his head P was jerking him and sent goons to his crib on the late night. To do what I don't know. But it didn't work, either P wasn't home or he stopped it. After that they broke up. Redman went with E and the rest P. It was sad. Neither as good as they were together. Although, Erick Sermon's solo stuff is better than Ps. His first solo LP definitely had joints.I never got into EPMD like that. What happened?

The first time I ever heard of him and actually knew him was in the early 00s and the first thing I ever heard about him was the gay rumours so I never checked for that fat green-eyed fakkit. They were at the height of their powers, just dropped their 4th album and they formed the Hit Squad which was them, Redman, K-Solo, Das Efx and the Knuckleheadz.
