Gangs are apart of every culture
:unimpressed:
They certainly EXIST in every culture.

I wonder how Italians would feel if someone said the mafia is Italian culture.

Criminal gangs have always sort of been outlaws in their respective societies.

Even in Black American culture, gangs are still seen as a negative.

That's the reason why it's mostly embraced by rebellious youth.

I think things like "crip walking" have just become a general symbol of Black urban culture.

It doesn't necessarily mean that we're embracing gang culture.

Look at the infamous old west outlaws and how they're revered in American culture.

Some things just sort of become "fun" symbols over time. Doesn't say anything about the people in a certain culture.

It is pathetic that people don't know American history.
Who do these people think some Black gangs are patsies for? Even right wing cacs admit it

There is a bunch of laundry mats out in the open and they all work for intelligence and use art and music to wash money. This whole country is a laundry mat operation. It’s just that Black people get the scrutiny

Didn’t someone post on here about how his boy got roped into a scheme by certain people and then they left him holding the bag when it got busted??

Tookie Williams is American lmao. An American.. Americans.. Black Americans.. birth the most notorious black gangs breh.

No immigrant did that.
Look you idiot. Black street gangs are a recent phenomena. It is a product of people moving to cities and it got amplified by jail nikkas and government housing. It is not part of Black American culture as most gangs have not even been in existence for 50 or 60 years. The Italians, Jews, Irish, etc., have had gangs going back over 100 years in this Country. Most Black American gangs got their start working with Italian, Jews, Greek, German and the Irish that they met in Cities.

Other gangs come to America already in operation like the Mexicans, Venezuelans, Chinese, Caribbean and Nigerians.

You don’t understand the difference between a gang existing in a country, and gang activity actually being a part of the culture there.

The Yakuza exist in Japan, it is not celebrated as part of Japanese culture though. The cartel is not celebrated as part of Mexican culture.

Gang activity is pushed and celebrated by many in our community though. She has a point, why is crip activity being pushed on the biggest night in TV? Why are athletes bragging on being affiliated with it? Why are these people revered as elders and community leaders once they finish their bid for murder?

I remember bringing up that I didn’t like seeing gang members in the Sinners scene that celebrated the history of music. But nikkas here were on my head talking about “that’s a part of our culture, it needs to be shown”.

So it’s a part of our culture when you wanna dance and party but it’s not when people bring up how poisonous it is to everyone it touches???

You think if a Mexican won a title at Centre Court they are gonna use that historic moment to show reverence for the fukking Cartel? :usure:

The first sentence has absolutely nothing to do with the rest. I just think it’s asinine to say Black Americans couldn’t have been criminals prior to immigrants arriving.

I am an American Citizen.. and if I wasn’t.. it’s not like you and your people will do anything to kick me out

If you wanted to do it, you would.. but you haven’t.. so you won’t :yeshrug:

How many ghettos are in Japan? And the Yakuza be openly banging holding corporate positions and shyt. shyt would never happen here. It would be like the CEO of Coca Cola claiming Vice Lord. Also, you are flat out wrong when it comes to Mexico. The Narco culture is strong
