Major gangs in NY don't really disappear. They just end up changing the name or merge with a different gang. The biggest example in my hood was IGC. They "merged" and turned 6trey.

Latin Kings is one of the few large gangs that actually almost vanished. A lot of them died, got locked up, became addicts, or left the city.

Oakland,CA. We dont have gangs we have turfs. Pretty much rep your block or area. Acorn, 69Ville, 77 Rusedale, North Pole aka North Oakland aka NSO, Sobrante Park, Bushrod Park, Brookfield Mob, Funktown, Ghosttown, Pheddie Mobb, Stone City, Seminary, Gaskill, Murder Dubbs, Lower Bottoms

Between prison, death and gentrification some may still rep but cats aint active like back in the day
