The only way I could at least understand that spot (wouldn't like it but I could get it) would be if it finishes a match. If not it's just a retarded way to do a nearfall and get a cheap pop
Bryan was also never in NXT. You gotta wait to see how Gargano translates on the main roster where everything is watered down and you have to wrestle against guys like Big Cass.Bryan has never had a match in the WWE as good as Gargano's matches with Almas and Ciampa.
Gargano is one of the best period right now.
