Ray felt disrespected by the Celtics. If I feel disrespected by my coach and org then I would do the same as Ray and bounce. I wouldn't limit myself as to who I would go to either. Ray isn't wrong and KG isn't.

lol didn't Ainge try trading Ray for like 3 seasons? I remember those Ray & Rondo for Billups & Rip Hamilton trade rumor and that Allen for Mayo trade last season. I would be pissed if I was Ray, but if I'm Ray though I simply wouldn't go to a team that bounced me twice in the playoffs unless I got traded to that squad somehow. I don't got no beef with KG, he is a loyal and competitive as hell dude. Plus more NBA drama and beef, I ain't got no problems at all.

If it wasnt for the Clippers keeping Billups, and getting Jamal Crawford I think he would have considered going to LA rather then Miami.

I dont care what the Celtics said in public about wanting him back, etc....the fact is that its a town that somehow someway runs its fan favorites out of town somehow (Celtics, Pats, & especially the Red Sox are guilty of this)

Ray leaving was a win-win for both parties. It removes an elephant in the room type of situation with the trade rumors....it removes a potential chemistry issue (the Ray/Rondo beef is something that runs pretty deep)

The Celtics got a bit younger, which is something they needed to do. Lets face it, they got exposed by a younger, faster, more athletic Miami team.

The Heat get better and deeper. In Rays case, what other ballclub would he have been a better fit. Hes gonna get a lot of open looks....hell, Ill even say this now but Ray could be a potential 6th man of the year candidate.
