Dudes a great defender like his dad, and plays smart

so many guys out of the league just need an opportunity
Honestly it’s about the right opportunity and fit. Like imagine if Steph gets drafted by the Knicks or Kobe stays with the hornets :francis:. Steph would probably be on his 4 team or playing overseas rn

Because the league shouldn’t really be developing players in the first place. The league needs either a better minor league system (or wait until the G League gets there if it ever does) or raise the minimum age to get into the league.
Out of the 4 major sports what league are players already developed? My overall point was teams try to force players to be something they just can’t attain. Having a player work on specifics in his game is one thing. These teams lack any common sense & creativity

It’s refreshing to see players with teams who know how to use them

It's an unpopular opinion, but they should make kids stay in the NCAA for 2 years before getting drafted. This will solve all of the underdevelopment problems

You got players leaving college early with so many flaws in their game hoping to hit the imaginary jackpot

My question is why should professional sports be developing guys outside of the natural development you get just from adjusting to the pro ranks? I mean it’s a very obvious point, but dudes in the 80s and 90s were coming in developed because they weren’t coming in as coddled teenagers. Perhaps the league needs to go back to that model.

:mjpls: in advance, as I’m sure that is the response this will elicit.

This is what I don't get about basketball. In football, the point is to find players for development. In the draft tomorrow, folks are going to reach SPECIFICALLY to develop a player they like. What do you mean the league shouldn't be developing players?????????

NFL fans: "well one season of OUR workout regimen and they'll be good"..."our trainers can't wait to get him"..."really looking forward to figuring out ways to develop his talents".

NBA fans: The league shouldn't be developing players.
