There is some validity to what GP is saying, but the great ones I believe can play in any era and perform well. Of course he would have to adjust his game, but i'm sure he could. If he came up in that era he would work on a mid range game and not dunks and threes so he would be able to still do work.

The major difference now is that physical fouls then are now considered flagarant fouls...so to act like the refs didn't make phsical foul calls or just let the game go into WWE mode is just stupid...basically he would still shoot the same amount of FTs if not more...when hear older guys speak of NOT letting a guy get into paint it's more so of a warning that WE ARE GOING TO FOUL YOU HARD..it would've came down to how much punishment did LeBron want to take also how punishment did the opponents what to take...because consistently getting hit or hitting 265lbs of muscle anit an easy task...how times do you recall of guys standing in Karl Malone's way when he came thru the paint?....and you hear older guys taking about MJ getting "superstar" calls then so yes those same superstar calls would have been there for LeBron....

MJ got calls..but he didn't NEED calls every game because his range started once he was inside the gym...Lebron NEEDS those calls when he drives to the basket...MJ it was 50/50 ...he might drive on you..or he might pull up or post fade on you.........Lebron 90 times out of 100 ..wants to drive...if he pulls up its cuz you made him and its clearly a lower percentage shot for him..

Once again..plz explain How would he average more free throws in a more physical era??.. What I don't think ya'll understand is ..the same way these rules made some players better this era...Certain so called stars of other era's would of ATE VERY WELL in this era...anybody with any type of dribble can eat in this era because they will give you the benefit on the call ..
