Fuel prices went up because covid backed off which meant people used more fuel ie they traveled more. Vacations. Work as work from home ended for many. etc etc. Another factor was the Ukraine situation. It caused a choke seeing as how oil from Russia was cut off. It was cut off for multiple countries not just the US.
@Gritsngravy is the perfect example of folks not knowing a damn thing about economics. Fuel prices worldwide go up? It's the US president's fault! They go down? It's still his fault! Oh wait what am I saying?
