That game just isn't interesting to me, shyt has gone way overboard.
I beat the third one not too long ago, but never played the first 2. It started off fun, but that shyt got way too over the top. The 4th one looks even worse. I'll probably grab it during a steam sale for $5 and never play it.

But the reason it isn't like saints row 2 is that it's trying to carve its own niche! If it goes head to head with gta5 it loses by a massive margin but if instead of trying to be a crime simulator instead embraces outlandishness they can both co-exist.
I'll be getting GTAV on release and this once it hits 40 bucks.
Flying around like a super hero =\= what GTAV is all about and that's what's appealing about this series at least to me.

I love the Saints Row series and I think because of GTA it got underrated. But with this new GTA.....man......this game just isn't necessary to pick up the slack anymore. I'll still play through it some because I don't give a fukk what yall say....those Insurance Fraud missions may be the best side mission in videogame history. I'll always play SR at least just for those missions. HAHA.
They should have never fukked up the multiplayer in SR2 and should have never scrapped it in SR3.
