Gavin sounds like whatever he thinks will play at the time. I appreciate the fact that he's one of the only guys swinging his nuts around right now (he was 100% right about the gerrymander stuff, for instance) but lets be real. It's easy to see through him and his biggest advantage right now is that he can curate how people see/perceive him. He's not out there every day making headlines because there is no race/election going on. That changes when he's forced to campaign in Iowa or attend debates in early 2027. At that point the carefully crafted shyt goes out the window and people are met with a guy who has had more power than most governors over the last 8 years and hasn't really done anything with it. Especially compared to his predecessor, arguably one of the best governors in American history.
He could have taken on the state's anti-housing insanity but didn't until it became a major focus nationally. He could have taken on the homeless issue but didn't until it became a major right wing talking point he couldn't ignore. He could have done all types of shyt but didn't. Now he wants to veer between being a truth telling everyman and competent leader who gets shyt done and....is he either?
