I would say the general Democratic primary voting base (older people) failed themselves and America twice. They got gaslighted into believing that Bernie's policies would either work then financially or were unrealistic, and that they should stick with neoliberalism.Bernie had a chance and young people failed him- TWICE.
ya'll keep thinking this country is some socialist beacon waiting to come to fruition when it's showed you time and time again that it's not.
Young people failed in doing what they also do in only coming out for the general election and if that can be iffy.
I do think younger people are a bit more in tune now with what they want and expect in a politician than when I was a late teen to early twenties.

Dems won 2 Senate seats in Georgia because they told those people if you give us the Senate we'll give you student loan relief, voting rights act and a $15 min wage..I'm pretty sure extending the child tax credit was also in there but not 100....Either way they're still waiting.Until Progressives can convince cacs in Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania (swing states we can actually win) to vote for them, I don't wanna hear nothing from them

Newsome has the stench of California (a beautiful state imo) on him. He's not winning presidency for at least a decade. California will have to get it cost of living situation under control with some years of those prices being stable before he would be a viable candidate.
